Changes to ADMIRALTY List of Lights

Due to an increase in the size of ADMIRALTY List of Lights, Volume F will be split into two publications: Volume F and Volume P. Following this change the initial letter of some light numbers will change from F to P. For example F3912 will become P3912.

Following the recent expansion project of the Suez Canal, the Egyptian Navy Hydrographic Department and Suez Canal Authorities, have issued 2 new charts to replace the existing UKHO coverage (ADMIRALTY Chart 233).

Concentrated Inspection Campaign - Enclosed Space Entry

The Maritime Authorities of the Tokyo and Paris Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control will launch a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) in Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry. The aim of the CIC is to ensure effective procedures and measures are in place to safeguard seafarers on-board ships when entering and working in enclosed spaces and to check compliance with the applicable requirements of the SOLAS Convention.
