ChartCo has secured two more major fleet orders from Greece in the last few weeks.
Cardiff Marine Inc, a leading Operator and Management Company based in Athens, has decided to fit the ChartCo Broadcast system to its fleet of over 80 Bulk carriers and Tankers. This is alongside an order from Stamco Ship Management Company for the installation of ChartCo on 53 Car Carriers. As a result of this order these fleets will soon start to benefit from the provision of electronic updates to an extensive range of paper charts and publications. Both orders followed intensive trials over a short period of time.
ChartCo Manager Steve Mariner says: "I am extremely pleased that another two leading shipping companies have chosen to fit the ChartCo Broadcast system. Cardiff Marine and Stamco have shown their willingness to invest in safety related technology from ChartCo owing to the fact that the system is flexible and can evolve in order to cope with the changing face of maritime technology. Not only will the service provide operational and commercial benefits, but it may be easily expanded to take in other products as required."
Captain George Evdaimon - Marine Superintendent, Cardiff Marine Inc says: "By implementing the ChartCo service we aim mainly to prevent delays and secondly reduce costs in keeping our vessels fully up-to-date with safety critical information. Our experience with ChartCo has so far been very good, and our choice of data provider has been driven by the breadth of services available and the ability of ChartCo to assist us in meeting the ever-changing requirements of our vessels in the electronic world."
These latest orders now bring the total number of ships selecting ChartCo services to over 3500.
