Martin Taylor
Chief Executive Officer

Initially appointed Managing Director of ChartCo in 2010, Martin went on to become Chief Executive after leading a management buyout in 2016. He has held board-level roles at Kelvin Hughes and CIRM, and holds an MBA and a degree in Marine Sciences.

Martin has also served as President of the Charts and Nautical Instruments Trade Association (CNITA) and has worked on committees at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC). He played a major part in defining the International Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) standards working with the IMO and IEC.



 

Sam Samra
Chief Financial Officer

Sam joined ChartCo in November 2009 as Group Financial Controller before taking on the role of Finance Director and subsequently Chief Financial Officer. Sam has responsibility for stakeholder relationships with banks and private equity, as well as leading M&A activity at ChartCo as it looks to strengthen its dominant market position. Sam has led three acquisitions, each of which has increased the depth and quality of ChartCo’s market offering.

Sam commenced his career with Grant Thornton, gaining significant experience in private equity there. He holds a law degree from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Accountant.



 

Howard Stevens
Chief Commercial Officer

Howard Stevens joined ChartCo as Chief Commercial Officer in November 2016. He has experience working in a wide range of industries including banking, telecoms, government, social media and manufacturing.

The unifying focus throughout these roles has been to meet the ever-increasing need for connectivity, allowing instant access to information on mobile devices. His most recent role before joining ChartCo was Global Head of Telecoms and Distribution for Blackberry.

Peter McNaney
Chief Technical Officer

Peter joined ChartCo in January 2018 to strengthen leadership in R&D, progressing the growth and development of the firm’s core software business. His background includes managing large-scale cross-technology and managed services, transformation engagements and strategic consulting.

Peter’s extensive experience in management and professional services in local and global blue-chip organisations is helping drive forward the launch of high-quality ChartCo products.
