Please join us in congratulating Regs4ships Deputy Technical Editor Amy Caulkin who graduated from Southampton Solent University with a 1st class honours degree in Maritime Business on Monday 18th November 2013.
In addition to this Amy was also awarded a Rio Tinto Marine Certificate of Recognition for Best Maritime Operations Project 2012/13.
The project that won Amy this award was called ‘Safe Manning and the Prevention of Fatigue. Commercial Pressures Before Safety?’. It looked at the current economy and whether shipping companies are reducing levels of manning on board ships, resulting in fatigued crews and unsafe working practices. Well done Amy, Regs4ships are delighted to have such a talented individual working in the company.
