Digital Maritime Regulations: Stolt Tankers
Transporting chemicals and bulk liquids around the world can be a challenging business. Cargoes can be hazardous and detrimental to our marine habitat - which is why chemical tankers are so heavily regulated.
Digital Maritime Regulations: Unigas International B.V.
One of Regs4ships’ newest customers is the petrochemical and pretroleum transportation giant Unigas International B.V. Operating a fleet of LNG and LPG carriers, Unigas was looking for a solution to the ever increasing problem of staying up-to-date with the legislation and documentation sent out by flag states, the IMO, ILO and the EU.
MCA Regulations and Guidance System
The United Kingdom’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) required an integrated electronic system of all relevant regulations, guidance and other supporting documentation.
Port State Control Challenge
Regs4ships were requested by the Cook Islands Ship Registry to investigate the circumstances around the detention of a ship following a port state control (PSC) Inspection on a Friday after its arrival in port in a Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) PSC area.
A major chemical tanker company had a charterer’s requirement to flag six of its ships currently registered with an offshore Red Ensign flag into an EU flag within a few weeks.
Stena Line have a decentralised operational management system which empowers their senior masters and has improved their efficiency. However they recognised that they needed a centralised safety management system (SMS) which would ensure consistent safety management and shared best practices across their port offices and ships.
